Folkestone Live

Folkestone is to host its first ever fringe theatre and comedy festival this summer.

The weekend is set to bring a wide range of cabaret, children's shows, dance, drama, music and stand-up performances to the town, and will showcase local talent as well as artists from across the UK. 

The festival grew out of a workshop held in the town last year called Devoted and Disgruntled where many actors, writers and theatre workers discussed the adverse impact of Covid and the cost of living crisis on their finances.

There are 13 plays or theatrical shows; 9 stand up comics; 4 family shows and 2 dance show plus a cabaret with live music.
